On a beautiful hill between the province of Macerata and Fermo we discovered the beautiful town of Monte San Giusto. Roman ruins and early medieval ruins reveal the origins of the city, although it is during the Renaissance that Monte San Giusto known its maximum  majesty. This is attested by the wonderful Palazzo Bonafede, built by the illustrious Bishop Niccolò Bonafede, Monte San Giusto was his birthplace in 1463. In addition to the Palace it is also worth visiting the small church of Santa Maria della Pieta in Telusiano, inside you could admire one of the most important works painted by Lorenzo Lotto, the monumental Crucifixion, it takes your breath away!
